I've searched and can't find anything that says for sure.
I'm looking for different length rails/tubes (and other accessories) for the Omega View 45E. I've found some on eBay for the 45E, but was wondering if there were other models like the Toyo 45D tubes would work.
The Toyo 45D had thinner rails that are not compatible with the rails for the later models. Note that I'm not speaking of the Omega models, which were sold only in the US. If I'm not mistaken, the 45E had a basic rail that did not accept extensions. You can replace it with rails for the 45G. I have them in all sizes. I have most accessories as well. Send me a message if you'd like to buy.
John, the rails for the older 45D had a rack along the entire length. The 45G rails are not geared. Fine focusing is on a smaller block, on both standards.
Kumar,
Thank you, you helped me identify what I have here. I came across the rail with a broken front standard & bought it.
Turns out the standard is cast & one of the ears ws broken and the focusing block is stripped or jammed. I'm just going to peddle
the salvageable parts & have done with it.

The gearing on the older Toyo cameras is not very fine, so "macro" isn't the right word. I can check and let you know tomorrow, if you really want to know.
If your camera has a rail like this: Dead Link Removed or Dead Link Removed extension rails can be used. Usually, the 45E had a hollow rail that could not accept any extensions.
