The lens is my own design and I built it myself. It's therefore a truly unique piece, and I probably won't build another one.

The base lens is an achromatic lens with a 400mm focal length, manufactured by Carl Zeiss.
It comes with three auxiliary lenses, manufactured by Schneider Kreuznach, in sturdy brass mounts.
Combined, they produce the focal lengths listed above.
The auxiliary lenses are engraved accordingly so they're easy to tell apart.

A rotatable empty filter ring is also included.

The design is based on the Wollensak Verito, but I shortened the construction considerably, resulting in a significantly larger angle of view than the original lens.
All focal lengths can be used at least in the 13x18cm format, the 288mm and 400mm also in the 8x10" format, and probably even the 222mm. You'd have to try it out.

Since this is a true soft-focus lens with corresponding spherical aberration, I decided to make two different sets of apertures.
One regular one with round apertures and one with star-shaped apertures. These create a more beautiful halo; they are smaller and have a brightness gradient that creates a beautiful 3D effect.
The round apertures, on the other hand, create a wide flare band that doesn't always look good, but they should be used for highlights in the image, because otherwise the star shape will be reflected in the highlights.
You have to do a little research here; the issue also depends on the focal length and the format used, and the aperture used is also relevant.

I made the Waterhouse stops from ABS plastic, which is very durable, matte black, lightweight, and easy to work with precisely.
The lenses show the aperture values for the 400mm base lens; the values for the other focal lengths are easy to convert, but I also include a table with the corresponding apertures for the three other lenses.

The lens has a 67mm filter thread so standard filters fit.
A lens flange and a lens cap are included.
I made a small leather case for the Wtaerhouse stops.

I exposed my films with the lens cap; I wanted to keep it as simple as possible. I attached the lens to an old travel camera and used it to expose photo paper.
It couldn't be more retro.

I would be happy if someone buys the lens and continue to use it.
It is fully engraved with all the data, including my name as the manufacturer.
The serial number is 0001.

Please do not ask for photos taken with this lens.
