I have acquired quite a large quantity of RA4 paper. I want to store it to last as long as possible. Some of the boxes have a little picture of a thermometer suggesting that they should not be stored below say 40 deg F. I was inclined to throw them in the freezer.

Is there any reason why freezing RA4 paper is a bad idea? Should I refrigerate it instead?

That's what I was thinking - that's what they do with ECN-2 film on the data sheets, I think.

So I may acquire another freezer, dedicated to paper.

I do both. Long term is a deep freeze in the garage. Stock used week to week lives in a bar fridge located just outside of the darkroom.
