I realize this is a mind-numbingly stupid question, but what the hell. I bought a lot of VERY expired EIR that has shifted very cyan. Is there any way to filter it to try and get it back to "normal?" I'm already planning on rating it at 100 and pulling 1 stop in processing to try to regain a bit of dmax, but it still is pretty far gone (no real surprise there, but hey...it was CHEAP!) Anyway, any thoughts out there?
Thanks,
Matt
This tells you to add blue to correct a cyan shift. Since as a standard you are supposed to shoot through a yellow filter (Wratten 12), I would suggest experimenting with:
1) A lighter yellow filter
2) No filter
3) A blue filter such as 80A or 80B
and see what happens
Pull-processing the film will reduce contrast, I very much doubt if it will give a higher dmax. Better to reduce exposure.
