Quick question for Nikor tank

Two different cap for nikor tank, can I ask which one better?

I have a tall tank with the straight divider in the lid, and a couple of smaller ones with the round centre hole. I can't swap the lids between tanks; they're slightly different diameters, and I think only one of mine is actually made by Nikor.
I can't say I prefer one over the other much for the lid on its own. The tall tank is oldest, and leaks a tiny bit round the lid, but I'm biased in its favour, because when I open that one I have four films to look at.
Pouring into the lid with the straight divider, I tilt the tank a little so the air-escape is higher. Neither design is a lightning-fast pour-in: for that, get a Paterson and live with those nasty sticky reels.

I prefer the divided lids, the idea is that you pour into and out of the larger side and the tank vents on the smaller side of the divider.
When they were made the lids were matched to the tank, so they don't interchange well. Nowadays with tanks sourced from the used marketplace, all bets are off as to matched tanks and lids so use whatever combination fits best. Otherwise you'll get a lot of leaking, or else a lid that's stuck and difficult to remove. Some leaking is a "feature" of most stainless tanks though.

I got a pack of really wide rubber bands (from Staples, a stationery store that has since shut, so I can't buy more. Nobody else here keeps them as wide) and put one over the edge of the lid to reduce the leaking with my big tank. I thought of wrapping the top lip of the tank with plumber's PTFE tape before putting the lid on, but that'd have to be done in the dark...

Here’s another Nikor tank, a wide mouth. I just got this recently at an estate sale, I’ve never seen one like this before. The bottom says Honeywell - Nikor, W. Springfield, Mass, USA, Made in Japan. The 120 size tank next to it has the same markings on the bottom.

The 120 size tank, on the left in the photo, doesn‘t fit a 35mm Hewes reel very well. It’s tight enough getting it in that you have to give it a push. Getting it out takes a good tap in your palm.

Like Dustin, I use wide rubber bands - the type you get with produce (like broccoli). I tried electrical tape, and it worked, but left residue on the tank... just one more thing to clean lest it collect hair and fuzz.
