hi,

Today I've been spooling some Polypanf film, by hand, from my load of bulk film and the darnedest thing happened... somehow one of the buggers has managed to turn himself around and is now spooled upside down, or is it backwards?

Now I've done this on purpose with colour film to shoot redscale and so to my question; what would happen if I didn't bother to turn this black and white one around? I can guess that it won't be red, so figure that it will just reduce the asa, which considering it's at 50 anyway, would be a pain in the "r"s.

I'll ask about how film can turn itself around later, but for now, competency levels are by-and-by...

thanks

If you expose most film through the back, the results will not be sharp.

I am not familiar with "Polypanf", but if it, like most, has an anti-halation layer, that layer will get in the way.

I bought several cans of the stuff and can't wait to give it a try -- I have seen posts on the internet of great results although I gather getting settled on a good ISO/developer combo can be a bit tricky.
