If someone has ready access to an 8x10 Grover monorail and a set of calipers would you please measure the hex rail diameter for me. I'm looking at purchasing a Grover with a short rail 20" and I'm trying to find out if anybody makes hex rail with the same diameter so I can purchase a longer replacement. I've found a good online source for tubing/rail but I don't have the exact diameter.

Thanks

My ten dollar Harbor Freight electronic caliper says 1-inch / 25.47mm. American camera so 1 inch makes sense.

Thank you Mike! That's exactly what I was hoping to hear. I can buy a 1' bar in just about any reasonable length for about $20. I figured B&J would have used something standard to keep costs down but I needed to be sure.

Hex rod is pretty common with machinists, probably a good idea to put a stop on each end of the rod to keep the standards from sliding off when you're shooting, just tap and add a fillister head machine screw to each end of the bar.

You read my mind Mike, I was already thinking about creating some physical stops.
