Question Regarding Kindermann 11oz. and 18oz. Developing Tanks

Hi guys. New to the forum here. I recently decided to make my first real foray into 35mm B&W film photography. I got a pair of Kindermann Developing Tanks: an 18 oz. 2-reel tank (#23167) and an 11 oz. 1-reel tank (#23166) as they were pretty cheap for the pair on eBay. I'm a bit confused as to the actual amount of chemicals I should be using, though.

You see, on the box, the two tanks are marked 18 oz. and 11oz., but when I look at the documentation that comes inside of the box, it says 16 oz. and 10 oz. respectively. I double checked the model number to make sure that both sources were talking about the same tanks and the model numbers match even if the listed capacities don't.

So how much total chemical should I be pouring into these tanks? (On a side note, all of my measuring tools measure in ml. rather than fl oz. so if you could just give me the number in ml., it would save me the extra step of converting it...) Much appreciated.

I usually test this by putting reels into the tank and pouring enough water in to ensure that the reels are well covered, but there is at least a bit of air space available above the water when the lid is on.
Then I pour out the water and measure the volume.
And then I check that against the markings on the tank, or the box, as the case may be.

I would place a reel into the tank and with the top off pour water into the tank until the reel is covered. This is the minimum amount of liquid required to cover the film during processing. Tip the water out into a measuring jog and note the volume. Adjust this amount upwards to a volume that suits your dilution regime, making sure that you don't exceed the capacity of the tank. (Check this by pouring your chosen volume of water back into the tank with a reel in it.)

Hmm... Well don't I feel stupid for not thinking of this. >.<

So I just tested this and for future reference for anyone with the same question that I had, the 18 oz. (or 16 oz.) tank takes 450ml of liquid and the 11oz. (or 10oz.) tank takes 250ml. This is using stainless steel 35mm Hewes reels.
