Question re: Phil Steele courses

I'm in the painful process of teaching myself Photoshop Elements and looking for recommendations as to good on line tutorials. Ken Rockwell mentions courses by his friend Phil Steele, and they are now on sale until the end of this month. The Basics of Photoshop course is thus priced a $47.00 with unlimited views available.

Have any of you fine folks taken a Phil Steele course, and, if so, would you recommend them?
