Hi, sorry this may seem like a silly question but I'm an analogue newbie.
Just got myself a Contax 645 with 2 backs and I was wondering if its safe to change backs mid-roll. There is a dark slide that must be engaged before the back can come off and I presume will stop the film from being exposed so I can put another back on.
When I'm done with the second back and want to put the original one back one, will the camera just resume shooting where I left off?
Regards
Dave

The counter is on each individual back, if memory serves. So the answer to your question is yes.
