Hi Dennis, I did a lot of searching around and everyone that has had work done by Mark has raved about him. I chatted with him back and forth a bit via email and feel very confident in giving him a shot. He also charges on the honor system so to speak, so I don't send payment until I have my camera back in hand for inspection. Granted, that isn't exactly insurance to the quality of internal work done but, we'll see how it goes. He's being very flexible in reserving a slot for me in his work line-up and letting me hold onto and use my camera until then instead of him having my camera for the next 6 weeks. I'm scheduled to send my camera in the first week of May. I'll let you guys know how it goes when all is said and done.

Wow! That is different. Harry Fleenor requires you send the camera, let him inpect it and give you a quote, then send in the payment and wait till it clears then you go into the waiting line of however many weeks. Hanson must be a very reasonable guy.

Per his website:

I have to admit I was pretty surprised when I read that myself. I found a bunch of posts around the different forums going back a few years raving about the work he does. He's certainly been a very friendly guy and eager to talk cameras in the emails I've had with him. This wait is going to kill me now...LOL Can't wait to have my new "Precious" butter smooth
