Right - I think the Fomapan films are pretty good and I like the price, but working with them is pretty tricky in comparison to Tri-X. I've had washed out images with Fomapan 400 in sunny conditions, for example. I've tried R09 / Rodinal and XTOL, but D-76 has actually produced the best results for me. I didn't like / couldn't handle Rodinal with the Fomapan 100 and 200 films (especially the latter) - and the 400 film is too grainy for Rodinal. D-76 and XTOL worked well with Fomapan 200 and I like D-76 with Fomapan 400 but only of I rate it @ 200. I bought this LQN developer with the hope of getting some more speed out of the 400. No one has any experience with it? I can experiment this weekend.
