I want to fix out some old Brovira BS fiber base paper to use as my final support in Carbon printing.

After I fix the paper, I assume I need to wash the paper in a tray of running water for several minutes followed by a soak in Perma Wash.

Is this correct?

Thanks for your thoughts.

Use two bath fixing then wash well, remember you're removing all the silver halides so that will exhaust the first bath faster (approx twice) than normal developed prints.

Perma Wash and then about one hour wash
Is this still a requirement with neutral/alkaline fixers? Haist's book claims that going from pH 4.5 to 4.8 already enabled archival washing without HCA, and I wonder what going from pH 4.8 to pH > 6.0 would do here.

I am not sure to be precise, it may be a bit of over kill, but I would error on more wash.
