Howdy People.
I recently picked up an old Burke & James 4x5. The gray painted timber version.
I was looking to replace and improve on the original ground glass screen with something brighter and perhaps more robust.
My question is this. I believe my screen is 1mm thick (i dont have the right tool to measure) would this be right?
Just looking at ebay generics, nothing appears that thin?
Any B&J owners out there who might know? Cheers

As long as the ground surface is in the correct location, the glass can be thicker, if the frame can accommodate the increased depth.

I just took delivery of a ground glass for my B&J Orbit 4x5 from ebay and it seems fine, and a bit improved over the original. Hope to take it out in the next few days to see how well it works.
