When I press the battery check button the needle leaps from the left hand side to as far as it can possibly go on the right hand side. The manual says that if the needle is over the small blue strip then the battery is still good. Technically the needle is still over the blue strip but barely and if there were any more room to the right it wouldn't be. Is this what yours does when you press the battery check button? Is this indicative of a good battery?

Thanks!

Horace

Yes, mine does the same thing. The idea with the battery check is that is at least gets to the blue line, therefore enough juice in the battery. Going all the way to the right shows the battery has plenty of juice. The needle bumps into the meter housing at the far right, otherwise it would go further.
