It says: 1 plastic box for 10 type 135 films plus 10 Arista films

Thus 1 empty box + 10 films.

Could be either 'brick' in cellophane wrapper and empty box or preloaded box but Id expect the former.

They should have done a this is what you get photo.

Sorry gents, I missed the following in the 2nd paragraph "....and hold 10 rolls of 35mm film (unboxed and without cans) and keeps them safe from the elements"

Oh well, may be later. Thanks for your help.

Remember that film may require longer fixing times, atleast with Adoxfix @1+10. Four minutes is my normal fix times for other popular films but this required twice the normal times.

Arista premium is just trix. It's not like the tmax films where a bit more fixing may be required. Any fresh rapid fixer should do the job in about 5 minutes.

It shouldn't take twice the normal fixing time, it's rebadged Tri-X. They used to sell rebadged Fuji Neopan 400 Acros as Legacy Pro 400, maybe that's the film you are thinking of. That is a tabular grain film and does require additional fixing time.

My first roll came like pattern of waves across the negative(very disappointing) but then the base was very clear from four minutes fixing.

Initially I thought film might be x-rayed or something strange might have happened it to.

Just to entertain a wild idea I re-spooled it gave another four additional minutes. The negatives came really good after that.

A minute long in the fixer would have done the job but I am not sure at that time...

Hi,

Thanks for the question!

The kit come with 10 boxed rolls of Arista Premium film (35mm x 24 exp.) and 1 empty plastic film case that can hold 10 rolls of film, once they are removed from the boxes and canisters.

The film may or may not be "bricked" (i.e. wrapped in cellophane), but they are definitely boxed and in canisters.
