Hello,
After about a month of playing around making digi negative curves and printing negatives(using photoshop and epson 3880 driver) I've decided to give QTR a shot.

At the moment I'm trying to print the ink seperation page onto OHP and for some reason it's printing only in grayscale, and quite dense at that.

I'm accessing the file direct from QTR / Tools / Options / Calibration mode, applying matt paper as media, with matte ink as black ink. Ink calibration set at 100%

The printer is 3880 with UC K3 inks.

It's a bug...

This, in my opinion, is the only black mark on an otherwise good piece of software. I wish the package on the website would be updated to include the following bugfix:

http://www.quadtonerip.com/QTR2.7.0patch.zip

Unzip the 2 files inside to wherever you have QTR installed, and it will overwrite the old (bad) versions.

Good luck with your digital negatives...I'm finding the 3880 to be an excellent printer for it.

Also, I'll point you to the QTR Yahoo! mailing list for reference:

Dead Link Removed

But you're more than welcome to ask your QTR questions on DPUG as well...there are plenty of people here who can help.

Looking at the QTR tech group this seems to be a problem with the latest version of QTR, and for Windows only.
