Pyrocat MC - 1:1:200 - In small Paterson - Semi Stand 1+1 hours

Hello there , Next week 100 ml of Pyrocat MC Part A will be at my hand , I want to use minimum developer and I will mix it 1+1+200 dilution and semi stand develop in 2 x 35 mm roll capacity paterson tank. Agitation 1 min at start , 1 invert 1 hour later. Film is Fomapan 100 . Does this concept work with small tank ?

It probably does, but I haven't tried it. If I were just starting out with Pyrocat-MC I would not be trying swim-stand. I would use it a 1+1+100 or maybe 1+1+150 and learn how it works with Foma 100 first. I have used Pyrocat-MC and it's as good a pyro style staining developer as you can get. I just think it would be better to start out with the standard 1+1+100 dilution first and then expand from there.

Stand/semi-stand development are not suited for new users of Pyrocat developers. Why not do regular intermittent agitation and see what results you get?

Like the others above said...:

1+1+200 dilution is very weak really. I wouldn't go so low. Stick to 1+1+100. It's still only 3ml for a 300ml Paterson tank with a single roll of 135.

Agitation 1 min at start , 1 invert 1 hour later.

Bad idea. Just agitate every minute, develop 10 minutes at 1+1+100.

Film is Fomapan 100 .

Expose at ISO 50-64 or so for best results.
