What would be a starting developping time for sheet film Tri-X Pro 320 (the new version) with Pyrocat HD (2+2+100) for Azo & Palladium printing.
I will use a Jobo expert drum on Beseler motor base (approx. 25 rpm)

Thanks fo any information and shared experience.

Philippe;

I would start at 10 minutes but this will vary, of course, depending on your exposure srtyle and your developing style (i..e tubes, tray, brush etc). Sandy (King), I believe advises on something like 16 minutes to start for this combination but I found that to be way too much for me when printing on Azo. Your results will vary but I personnaly processed (old) 8x10 Tri-X for 10 minutes (+- a few minutes) doing one sheet at a time by brush processing. I would guess you would would want more than that for Pt/Pd however. Do a simple test with 5 identical sheets processed at 8 10 12 14 16 and see which works best for you.

Bonne chance, cousin Francais.

Merci cousin pour cette réponse.

I tried today 2 sheet films.
The first one from Zone IV to a bright Zone X. I developed 10 mn (2+2+100 / 68°F in expert drum on Beseler motor base 25 rpm); could be a little more I had to use a drop of Na2 5% to get the right contrast.
The second was a normal shot from Zone III 1/2 to Zone VIII. I developed 15 mn and the test print seems OK.
I keep trying.
