While checking various web references prior to actually mixing the chemicals I noticed both sodium bisulfite and sodium metabisulfite compounds used. The various references indicate the same 1.0 grams quantity used (per 100 ml stock of soln. A)
Is there a preference to using one sodium compound over the other?
So, before I start mixing things up, can somebody clarify this for me?
Sodium metabisulfite is what I specify for the formula.
However, in practical terms the substitution of sodium bisulfite in the formula would make little or no difference in the working characterstics of the developer so it is perfectly ok to use it as well.
