Hi all! Kinda embarrassed about this but when it says a 1:1:100 dilution does this mean, for example, 100ml of A, 100ml of B and 1,000ml of distilled water or does it mean 100ml of A, 100ml of B and 2,000ml of distilled water? Basically the question is do you add the first two and then do the 100 times or not?

Sorry for the silliness, I've just been trying to think too hard and my brain has decided to walk away.

Thanks!

Marek

It's the first but you're out by a factor of 10add 10ml Part A to say 500ml water, stir add 10mlPart B them make up to 1 litre - 1000ml.

Don't mix both A+B together first as they oxidise faster that way.

Yes I am off, thanks! So if I were to use 10ml of A, 10ml of B then add 1,000ml of water, correct? It's not 10ml A + 10ml B + water to make 1,000ml. Also, since I have got all your undivided attention , I am hand steel tank developing Acros 100. I have previously developed it in:
• 800 ML Distilled Water
• 3 ML Rodinol
• 200 ML Xtol Developer
• 1.25 grams Borax
• 10 grams Asorbic Acid

for three hours stand, no agitation except for the first five minutes.

Like the results but want to see what happens in Pyrocat-HD. I spent a number of days watching Bab Carnie print and it really looked like the negs done in Pyro were easier to print and so much nicer in tonality.

Can someone who has used Acros and Pyrocat-HD make a recommendation for stand times and dilutions? Or will the stand not be as good? Should I stay with a standard development time like 12 minsutes and agitate for 5 seconds each minute?

Rhanks again!

Marek, most of us add the 10m +10ml to make 1 liter because the the measure isn't accurate enough to make up to 1020ml.

I process all my films inc Acros for 15mins @ 20C in an inversion Jobo or paterson tank, only Foma films gets different treatment.

You can add 10ml A to the 1000ml water then add 10ml B to that. I never add A to B then add water as it oxidises far too quickly. Acros in Pyrocat HD is one of my favorites. I never do stand development, I prefer standard development with 30 second initial agitation then 10 seconds each minute.

Thanks Rick (and others). What time do you soup Acros for? I see Ian uses a time of 15 minutes.
