I have been wondering for a while if the color the working solution of Pyrocat HD makes a difference.
I bought a kit from Photo Formulary, and when I mix the chemistry, distilled or tap water, (I use 1+1+100), the color is first green and slowly turns a very slight gold / pink tone. The green color seems to be getting a bit more intense with time. Is that a sign that the stock solution is coming to the end of its life?
It still works great. I have developed TMX, APX100 (Oh how I will miss you), Tri-X, and FP4+ - they all come out fantastic with a very slight brown stain. So I'm not worried, I'm just curious.
