I've been reading through Rott & Weyde and I noticed a section where they talked about using PVA (white glue) based emulsions for both the transfer sheet and the receiver sheet. Has anyone played around with using PVA as a replacement for gelatin? I've read about people assuming that it won't work as well as gelatin, and Ilford themselves state the PVA doesn't work as well, but has anyone actually done any real experimentation with it, and if so, where can I find that info?
