I am shooting a showcase at a community centre tomorrow. I have 500T and was wondering how successful pushing it to 2000 would be. Also, I home develop in C41. I found a suggestion that 1.5x is right for a two stop push. Question is, even though technically 2000iso is two stops, do I need to make allowances for cross processing? Any advice is gratefully received
Peter
That's encouraging like I said, the one suggestion I found was to apply a multiplier of 1.5, but that was probably referring to ECN2. What is the rule of thumb when pushing standard colour film?
x1.75 is what my C-41 kit recommends for a 2 stop push. That would be about 6 minutes at 39C. Shadows will get crushed, so aim for compositions that don't rely on details in shadow.
Yeah, that's where I got to, give or take a few seconds. I used time x1.25, x1.25. that is just the calculation of course, I am actually shooting it this evening
