Am shooting sports in 35mm & wondering about using Sandy King's Pyrocat HD for pushing the film to 1600 & 3200.

Anyone with real world experience or results using this combination?

Before the usual "poor results" types crop up, I am not looking for the same results I get with FP4+ in 8x10. I am shooting sports in gyms lit seemingly by candlelight and want sharpness that cuts. If the Pyrocat HD will work I will use it... simplifying the darkroom a bit more by not having to keep acufine on hand.

I'm not trying to be a "'poor results' type" but I've never tried it, assuming that it wouldn't significantly boost the lows, and just add contrast.

Have you tried Microphen?

(edit: ah - never mind, I see you're already using something else and want to simplify. Sorry - got to clear the cobwebs and read more carefully...)
