Kodak made a wide range of sizes of push-on "Series" filter adapters.
25mm is very close to 1", it shouldn't be hard to find a 1" to Series 5 adapter, or similar.
The metal fingers can be gently adjusted to fit...see photo. www.filterfind.net is usually good source for such items, Tim is very knowledgeable about filters and adapters.
There are only pros and no cons. Series adapters and filters are easy to obtain, affordable, and a very flexible way to use a multitude of available filters. Not shown in the picture, above, and well worth getting... a Series V shade. I can attest to the recommended source. Tim is a great guy who is reasonably priced and a honest businesman.
Note: Series adapters were made by other companies, not just Kodak. They are all equivelent. Here is the basic filter kit I carry with a different old camera.
I see that the Paxina came with different lenses and they took push-on filters of different diameters, so measure the outer diameter of the lens to be sure.
Well, one con to Series filters is that the actual filters were made decades ago. Many are in poor condition- marked glass, delaminating, etc. Finding filters in good condition can be a crap shoot. One of the advantages of a place like FilterFind- a real human is checking condition, etc.
If all else fails, you can just tape a filter onto the front of the lens hood.
Every Kodak polarizing filter I found on evilbay was in bad condition, just got a used/cheap cpl & a bit of tape. Not 100% sure how well it'll work, but its a option.
Likewise, I've never found a polarizer of the "series vintage" that has been usable. They were laminated and the lamination has always failed. All other filters that I use, contrast and soft focus/diffusion, tend to be quite easy to find in usable condition. Orange #16 filters are might be a challenge to find because they don't seem to have been poular back then.
I have had good luck epoxying a step-up (or step-down or filter ring w/o filter, as appropriate) into the maw of a lens hood. Now you have a lens hood threaded for a filter.
