I recently got my hands on a few polaroid instant cameras wanting to do some cool manipulation and emulsion lifts etc.
But apparently Polaroid stopped distributing instant film in australia, (well according to the guy at my local photography shop) even though polaroid has an australian section on their website.

So in short: where can i get instant film in australia????

Hi Sharoom

Polaroid did stop selling it in australia this it true however their distributor is how Hagemeyer Photographics the rep for Polaroid is Amanda Bickley and she can be reached on 0417 419 966. Polaroid has been discontinuing an immense amount of their products the past 2 yrs. I sell polaroid materials in my lab. I would be happy to help you in sourcing any polaroid material you may be interested in. I can be contacted on my lab numbers which are (02) 9365 6063 or 0415 677 522 or my email which is Steve@thelighthousebps.com.au

I also have copies of the Polaroid Studio CD which is a great cd to inspire and show you though different creative techniques possible with Polaroid products.
I would be more than happy to supply you with a copy for free.

Good Luck with shooting on polaroid! its a medium which needs all the support it can get!

Hi Shroom, you should definitely contact Steve, he will set you on the right track. Also why don't you post here the model numbers of the Polaroid cameras you got so we can tell you what film sizes they require.

thanks guys... much appreciated
i have a non-folding SX-70 1000 (rainbow type), the newer joy cam, and in the process of looking for one that takes 669 film (maybe you could give me some guidence).
The SX-70 can take SX-70 blend, or 600 (with modification) from what i understand.
While the Joycam can take Joycam 95, captivav vision or 500 I think.
And i am looking for others so i can do emulsion lifts.

thanks for you help
