Well,I've checked the forums and read a nimber of posts on pulling Tri-X to iso 200.How does this sound :
9 minutes
dilution H (hc-110)

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thank You,
Mike

To what avail? Reducing contrast is what. If you want normal contrast, develop normally. You will have to overexpose more than you did to get off the high end of the curve. You could add bromide to your developer, or you could use a developer that needs an extra stop of exposure to stay on the bottom end of the curve.

What I'm trying to say is that what you do with overexposure depends on how much you overexposed. One stop is usually hardly noticable to the eye. Normal development of a negative that was only one stop overexposed will only increase your printing exposure by at most 2/3 of a stop. Some people do it like that on purpose.

Hi,Mike

That is the time I use with dilution H. It works for me with TRI-X and Neopan both at Ei 200.

Regards, John.

Mike,

I have pulled Tri-x to 200 with Rodinal 1+50 and it turned out just fine.

200 EI had always been my standard for Tri-X. If using HC-110, 1:50 straight from the syrup for 6-7min @20gradC (time depending on contrast of subject shot) always yielded repeatable results.

HC-110 1:50 seems closest to dil-H. Plus that's how I measure my Rodinal, and no need to cloud my brain up with another dilution.

I have used these same parameters for 35mm using diffuser enlarger, in fact my Normal development for Tri-X.
However, using 6 x 6 cm (120) Tri-X I rate it at 300asa and dev HC110, 1:50 @20 deg.C for 10 min agit. for first 30 sec. and one inversion per minute and then print using diffuser enlarger at G2/3. This is my Normal for 120 Tri-X.
Hope this is of use but it may only be a guide for your equipment.
Regards
John.
