PtPd on Baryta Paper Book Now Available for FREE!

Hi All,

First of all, a big thank you to everyone who purchased a copy of my book "Vouloir C'est Pouvoir, A guide to hand coating fixed-out baryta paper with platinum/palladium & other alternative process solutions". I've been delighted to see some gorgeous prints made with my method. The book is still available for purchase here for those (like me) who prefer holding actual books in our hands, but I've now made it available to read online or to download....FOR FREE!!

So if you've ever wondered about coating fixed-out Baryta paper with PtPd or other alternative solutions but didn't want to spend nearly 30 bucks on the printed copy of my book (darn Blurb is pricey), you can now try it out for nada! The only thing I request in return is that you post an image or two of your results. I'd love to see em!

Thanks for making the PDF available for free! I'm still trying to master traditional Pt/Pd printing, so I'm not ready to try it, but your approach looks very interesting. -john

I took a workshop that you presented this process in way back in 2001 I believe. It was with Dick Arentz...

It's an excellent how-to booklet, and the results can be absolutely stunning in the hands of an experienced printer.

I presume there have been some modifications to the process along the way, but if anyone is interested in a pt/pd print with dmax the blows the pants off Azo, you should try this.

Have you tried using baryta coated inkjet paper at all? Wondering if that would work well.
