just found these on amazon. expired but not by much.

no affiliation, just wanted to let you know as its very hard to find rolls of slide film

shot 3 rolls and developed them today. look great. forget the agfa 200, this stuff blows it away for not that much more. i shot a roll of each side by side and the provia smokes it (and i like/liked the agfa)

A hundred dollars?! I remember when a hundred feet of film was $17, and I thought it was high then. Is this what 35mm film is going for these days? Good Lord.

Yep, and I can remember when gas was 25 cents a gallon. I can remember 100 sheets of Ilford 8 x 10 sw graded paper for $10, and then the Hunt brothers tried to corner the market on silver. Prices went up; when they failed paper prices didn't come down. Hmmmm..... The marvels of the free market at work, I guess.

The Agfa film would be 68$ resp 74$ for 100'.

If I was into slide film, I'd pick it up for that price for sure.

I know B/W film can keep a long time in the freezer, with the possible issue of increase in base fog, but what about color slide film? If I bought a roll of this slide film and froze it, how long would I have before it was affected by aging (or radon or intergalactic particles)?

As for price, you can usually get, what, 28 to 30 36-exp rolls from 100 feet? That puts the price at <$3.50/roll, not too bad. I surely couldn't make by own slide film for that price!

Regarding comment #10 and the number of cassettes one can cut from a bulk roll . . . A standard 36-exp load is about sixty-five inches long, so you can fill about eighteen or nineteen cassettes from a hundred foot roll.

I stand corrected, and obviously should buy a calculator. So if 19 rolls, per roll price = $5.26.

the agfa is the rollie stuff. i got a 100 foot roll from germany for about $70 shipped. there are a few threads about it here

Maybe ten years, maybe more.
I have shot 1997 Provia RDP II with unknown keeping condition, oh man, there is no color shift at all...
