Ideally you would shoot a short roll of film run into your darkroom and process

Probably good to bracket 1/2 stop or 2/3 over and under

I cant process slide film at home.
Of course i’ll run a few test shots with the end of another roll. But the digital test shots should work as well.
I just have to figure out how to remotely trigger the flash from the Pentax SLR.

Excellent point about using digital to work out lighting. Slide film from Fujifilm is so expensive, however slides are amazing. I think your project sounds like a great plan.
