Propylene Glycol Expired ?

I have an unopened bottle of Propylene glycol with an expiry date of 2022.

Does it really go off, or is there a good chance it will still be usable ?

Nope. Super stable.

Agree. I have a bottle of Propylene Glycol I used for a Phenidone solution. Still usable after 2-3 years.

Just make sure it is pure PG. I once used one that was apparently diluted with something else that went off after a time.

The date may relate as much to the expected integrity of the packaging as it does to the contents.
Is it a "use before" date, a "best before" date or neither.
There actually is a difference between the first two!

I also looked at my TEA and that has an hour glass figure with the sand at the bottom, and a date of 2026. So I assume the time will run out for that in 2026.

"Best Before" is supposed to indicate that there is no promise that there won't be deterioration after that.
"Use Before" is supposed to mean discard after that date.
And both may relate to packaging integrity as much as contents.

This ^^ . The plastic bottle (or more likely the lid) is more likely to go bad than the contents.

Perhaps expiration refers to giving it to young cows. PG helps with bovine ketosis. I buy my PG at a feed store.
