Prontor Timers. Why so expensive?

I was watching Ebay and keep seeing these prontor timers going for an arm and a leg. Any idea why these items are so expensive? Is there not a reasonable alternative?

Selling lots of camera stuff on Ebay this week.

Cut off one digit from the price, and buy yourself a few AutoKnips'es!


They're cheap, plentiful, reliable, and notoriously unprecise. But they always work...

Think I should start a new business buying in Germany and selling in the US?
