Prontor Professional Timer-Cable-Release too long

Want to use Prontor Professional Timer Cable release for 2-32 sec zoneplate/zonesieve-shooting plus incl. pinhole. But the hub is simply too long to be used in normal open/close shutters. For which system was it made for? Who can deliver an adapter- a tube with threads to adjust this difference? 18° has a pinhole-shutter but the plate seems integrated, maybe one can open it with force to replace the plates-see above. the only seller on ebay is ignorant when i asked about that. is certainly not a photography. where are other sellers. i have now the names of the companies behind that brand. cam sold also under Cosmos Circle name.
are there seller of single universal pinhole-shutter which can takeup other 20mm plates. Thats the size of skinkfoto ones. aupremierplan has the same size.

Are you in Switzerland? The only reason I ask is the use of the word "hub" do you mean the male threaded section?

Prontor made shutters so I'd imagine the CR would be a natural fit. I've used Prontor releases on shutters and cameras with standard
CR threads with no bad experiences.
Does the thread on the CR go too far into the shutter?

Hub=The distance the pin is coming out when pressed completely.
I am just trying out on my Polaroid MP4 copal 1 shutter. also have the similar Wista. i can trigger but timer not working.
forgot to tell that its on Agfa Clack where the Hub must be small to no trigger before shutter is opened. Maybe i am totally offset.
I dont need a timer in pinhole-cam, rather in one with Zoneplate/Zonesieve. So it could be on my Kiev60, will just test, wait a minute. maybe better getting first shooting-experience before brainstorming the wrong way.
NB: i "killed" seperate Mamiya RZ67 180mm tubes when fiddling around with mechanisme without cam. be cautious 3 screws are holding the tubes in slits rather than in holes.... for easy servicing. no good idea!

can tell you now where the problem is with Prontor Professional Timer(the newest black one) used on Copal 1-shutter.
Total pin out is 20.8mm that is full pressing when timer will work.
Without timer i must press 9,8mm approx. to activate shutter. so there is a difference of 11mm when must be adjusted by a double-threaded tube, whats the tread-size of standard cable-releases? I only wonder if it matters that the pin is looking out 3mm. do we have to add this in the calculation? an electro-mechanic bluetooth-timer would be hot! Kiev60 has 1/2 sec and B. 1-2 sec are hard to handle manually. if only one could attach a metronome with earphones. a contact added outside between the button and time-case. enough space. next time i will show images of the timer. it has also T-option. 2-32 sec in standard setting.

I do not understand what the propblem is with a too long movement (travel) of the pin. Unless one exerts too much force the travel should not be an issue.
(A problem though would be if the piston stands out from the start and thus maybe releasing already at screwing in the cable.)

The end pieces with an adjustable effective traveI, I can think of at the moment, are used at automated releases.

I want to shoot 2-32 secs. exposure times for whatever images with Prontor Professional Timer(cable release).
I am pressing the timer button when cable-release is on copal 3 in B-mode.
1. shutter will open and stay open even when timer set to whatever setting 2-32 secs.
2. timer is not activated since the shutter is released too early. when shutter is open cable cannot be moved further. button is stuck "halfway" at the distance i calculated and measured. to reach timer-point a double-thread-tube with matching size must be attached. most be fabricated. i have an angled, a u-shaped and flexible prolonger but it has pin inside. will try to crack/open the latter.
In T-Position to keep the Hub.
will now open the plate since i cannot turn the screw. and dont want to risk a break.

-) there is no Prontor Press Timer. (Prontor Press is a certain shutter model, thus I got puzzled)

-) I have not got a Prontor sample at hand now, but all the other makes I got have an adjustable travel of the pin

Could break a tube of a prolonger. now only have to find the right size and outer thread must be drilled. whats the size of cable-release thread.
UPDATE:
Big Surprise: Could test the 11.22mm shortened tube(without thread on release by using a defective Polaroid MP4-Copal 1-shutter. i pressed it to the rim. thread there broken out. And wow. Timer working as it should be.
Since i dont know what will happen when i will further shorten it to make it working without thread on a perfect shutter i will avoid that and ask the technician to add a longer thread instead. one could short it afterwards.
Can hardly test on Kiev60 since there button us moving down. thread must be on the tube. could shorten to have 11mm hub now 12.57. will risk it.
2. I couldnt see an adjuster inside.
If there is a prolonger with adjustment pls let me know.

I have seen that some timer-driven mechanical releases have a variable 'throw' pin, and it is possible for the user to easily adjust this.

I have found one -a double-cable -release for bellows but it doesnt help me here.
Btw: For 3DStereo i have found a double-cable-release holder. when i have a second identical cable with the same button-size i will present it. could then test with Dual Bessa I. but i have genuine ones already. and DIY ones which all work.

Surprise 2: Further shortened the tube to 10,87mm. still no thread which is needed normally.
Perfect Copal-1 Polaroid MP4 tested.
a) standard exposure times 1- 1/125 i see a delay of maybe 0.5-1 sec.

b) B fully working incl. timer-function.
Mission almost accomplished. only need to know which thread must be drilled.

Alternative found, head-tube with thread from the same flexible extender. 13mm.
I enlarged the hole with 2.5mm driller. now need to know which glue i must use for solid connection.
Most hold now cable to the adapter in Copal-shutter when shooting.
Not working on kiev60. both parts must be glued. so which glue?

In the states,I'd use JB Weld. It's a two part cement like epoxy but is not brittle so it can be drilled and tapped. No idea what
the tapered thread size is but it sounds like you're going to make it permanent anyway.
With the JB Weld it may be possible to start a hole & "tap" it with a cable release tip.Another hare brained method may be to coat
a spare CR with a light grease and thread it into the tube while it's still soft. The grease should allow the tip to be backed out when it sets.

CORRECTION: THE thread on Copal-1 or universal cable-release-thread is M3.2x0.5 from -Skgrimes-site (is it called M4?)

IMPORTANT UPDATES
WARNING: Never use other than B-setting to prolongue shutter times to 2-32 secs. Shutter(here copal-1) will be sticky then. had to open and unstick. yes the blades were also flying around. fortunately i have multiples, also wista Copal-1. so the blades-remounting was no real-problem.
2. Hub can be changed by rotating the main release-knob. found out when opening the plate.
But beforehand i had the great idea to cut the tip of the cable and was succesfull in cutting it too much after trials with differrent lenghts.

When the Timer(here no used as timer obviously since it seems to be made for the prontor-system as time) was still working(yes i finally killed it) i could trigger non-automatic seikosha on Mamyia Universal-Press lens.
But in the meantime after so much trial the gear-mechanisme is worn out timer not working anymore.

If i had a manual or a user of the Prontor Professional Timer had interfered early enough i could work with it.
Now i will install a copal-0 shutter on my pinhole-cams. to use the shinkfoto-set of plates.
Meanwhile 3skrpc on ebay can deliver a simple but universal shutter(plates at least 18-20mm or bigger?) can be replaced now. it will be mounted onto a Copal 0 lens-board. 1/6 sec can be reached with any of the cable-releases (penumatic or not)also with grundner shutter. measured with cheap photoplug-sensor by photoplug.de
Fazit: Using Prontor Professional Timer
a) on automatic selfcocking shutter: Use it ONLY B
b) no problem using it on nonautomatic Shutter with any exposure times. on B exposures: 2-32 sec
On other exposure times: as Selftimer
WARNING AGAIN: On selfcocking shutters(after having adjusted the hub(whats the right term?) never use it with other than B-setting.
If hub(cable) is too long when releasing timer will stop immediately and cable jumping back. If i dont err...
