One of the local Camera Shops is carrying Promaster VC B&W paper, no country of origin on the package, or even a data sheet for that matter. I bought a 25 sheet pack, feels like Forma in terms of paper weight, the sales person stated that he thought it may be Mishabishi(sp?). Any ideas.

Maybe they aren't. Could be re-badged old stock. Ultrafineonline sells some repackaged papers that are old Kodak stocks. I bought some and the Kodak logo is on the back of every sheet. Kodak has not coated B&W papers for quite some time now. I'm pretty sure that it is Polycontrast III.

Paper seem thinner than Kodak, but I as I am printing this weekend I will find out.

PC III hasn't been produced since early 2004. As it's a developer-incorporated paper - and, thereby, possessing a modest shelf-life, I'd be surprised if it was still being re-packaged.

I'd certainly avoid it at this stage if it is, indeed, PC III.
