I have the Meta35, it's a nice package. Comes with it's own dongle and cable, original ES-E1 stuff is not required. runs natively on Mac and Windows. Worth checking out!

Bumping an old thread to update my link to dropbox, here is the .iso of the ES-E1 software. At some point in the past couple years google drive got updated and I've been having to approve each request to see the file (a few a month), hopefully this fixes that issue. The previous drive link will remain active just in case, but the dropbox link should be more reliable.

For those who are finding the link, it's great there are so many people still using the 1v to it's potential! Hope you all decide to join photrio.

If you have a version of the software that would run on Windows XP then just have a PC dedicated for that job. There is no way you can get the virus because you do not connect the computer to the internet (by the way trying to browse the web with a Windows XP computer today is quite a difficult task). I really have no problem have computers used for 1 single task.

Just popped in here to thank you for this! Not sure if it's going anywhere, I mostly wanted to have a way to generate some actual conversation between the camera and a computer to try to reverse engineer at least a little bit of the protocol.
