Processing ECN-2 on a JOBO CPA-2

Hey all, I'm interesting in processing ECN-2 using a JOBO CPA-2. I don't want the remjet layer to wreck my equipment so I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with this? My sales person told me my main concern is getting the remjet gunk off the reels and that it shouldn't get caught up on the jobo lift. I'm wondering if this is true and if anyone has any successful experience with this? Ty

Remove the remjet before you develop the film. It won't hurt your tank at all. Just rinse a few times before you start developing if you are concerned about getting remjet in your processor or if you are concerned with carryover. There are lots of formulae for removing remjet, but just use Kodak's. It is in the pdf they have explaining ECN-2.

If I am not mistaken, remjet is just carbon. The biggest issue is making sure it doesn't stick to the emulsion on your film. I doubt it would stick to the reels, but they are easily cleaned.

I've removed remjet before on Super 8. I just balled it up and threw it into the JOBO. Didn't have any issues with the remjet. It came right off after a soak and some shakes...

I've never had any remjet stuff sticking to processing equipment. I load the ECN2 film onto the reel and into the tank, remove remjet and then process. The film remains on the reel and in the tank throughout the process. By removing the remjet before the tank is mounted on the Jobo, the chances of remjet sticking to the lift etc. should be minimal. And like I said, I never noticed any remjet gunk sticking to anything to begin with.
