I have a 28-75mm Tamron zoom lens that I can no longer zoom to the 28mm focal length.
Its the SP AF Aspherical XR Di (IF) if that helps. It simply won't zoom to 28mm but works fine at all other focal lengths.

How close to 28 can you get? If it is close then I suspect the time and effort in cost terms to fix this may well outweigh the benefits

It will zoom between 28 and 35mm but will not zoom to 28mm. It otherwise works fine.
I just want to give me the full range of focal lengths.

It looks like your lens is of a recent manufacture ( within the last 10 years ) so it should still be repairable by Tamron. If it doesn't zoom correctly/smoothly then it needs attention by someone who knows the complex nature of the mechanics. My first option would be to contact Tamron to get their advice on repair, maybe they can fix it or they might recommend a repair agent in your country. It looks like a quality lens that would be worth the cost of repair unless the cost is outrageous.

Too bad your not in the US. I have a nice, very good performer, Tamron 280135 FS in the want ads.
