I was out shooting yesterday with my RZ67 and discovered that the Cocking Lever was jamming on a few occasions. I shot two rolls of film and the first one jammed on two frames and once on the second roll.

I was able to advance the film with the Film Advance Knob on the film holder but the only way I could free the Cocking Lever was to turn the Release Button Collar to the Emergency Shutter Operation position and then press the Shutter Release Button. I was then able to push the Cocking Lever forward.

Have any other RZ users had this problem and do you know what is causing it?

Peter,

I was just looking through the RZ manual and it says that when the Emergency Shutter Operation button is used that the monitor lamps in the view finder will not illuminate. But I seem to recall you saying that they were lighting on Saturday when you had the problem, I wonder if you were to set the Emergency Shutter Operation, remove the battery fire a few times with lever set to M. Then re-insert the battery and switch off the Emergency Shutter Operation would it "reset" everything?

As you know I don't have an RZ, but just thought this might work.

Thanks David but I think I got it sorted (as he crosses his fingers) this morning. Good job I did as the sun was shining brightly at 7am and Bective Abbey & Bridge were looking fantastic.
