When Dark slide is mounted on Roll Film Holder HA 701 you will not be able to operate the release buttom. But this function does not work on my camera, which means that I come home with film that is not exposed, as I forgot to remove the dark slide. Is there anyone who can help me with this problem.
This function depends on a couple small tabs on the dark slide that actuate an interlock on the body. If you use a dark slide from another roll film holder, those tabs won't depress the interlock and the camera will still fire. Likewise if you use a roll film back for another 2x3 Graflok (like a Graflex 22, 23, or RH10). Also, if the dark slide is backed out just 2-3 millimeters, the interlock will be released -- but the film won't see light from the lens.
Attach something to the dark slide handle that will catch your attention. On the Mamiya Press backs where the dark slide handle has a loop, you can tie a brightly colored string or shoelace through the handle (I have old backs that came this way, so the trick has been around for decades). I think the RB67 darkslides don't have a loop, so you may need to use thread or bright colored tape on the handle.
