Hi All I loaded and re loaded the film a new roll in a camera I just bought. The safe film load shows as it should. Yet IF I keep using the film advance to get to 1 I'd end up wasting a bunch of film!! I did notice that in the manual photos on film loading that the leader on the film used is way longer than the one I have loaded? Is this just me or a small problem that everyone has now a days?? Could someone clue me into the proper way to load new age film? If there is one?
Thanks for replies and looking,

Terry

As far as I know, there be no law says you have to advance to '1' to start shooting. Put the film in, give it three advances and start shooting. Want more images, load it in a darkroom.

That xd11 is a nice camera if it doesn't jamb up on you.

Just so I understand: when you load the camera, it takes several advances to get to "1", but then the counter works fine and the film advances properly?

If this is the case, just start with "0". Bonus frame! Just like #37 that we often get.

It's a great camera. There's tons of opinions about whether the XD11 or the later X700 is the better Minolta. So, I have both!
