I picked up a nice Minolta Maxxum 24-85mm lens a while ago, and have not had any problem with it on my Minolta Maxxum film cameras, or Sony digital cameras -- until today.

I put it on a Minolta Sweet II and noticed that it will not auto-focus, it does not display the f-stop, and it does not display MF when I press the MANUAL FOCUS button.

So I tried it on my other Minolta Sweet II, and it works fine.

Both Minolta Sweet II cameras work fine with all of my other AF lenses. So it's just this one lens and one camera that don't like to talk!!!

So I can't figure out if it's the camera or the lens or both.

I remember a few years ago where I had a Vivitar 283 flash that would work fine on all of my SRT cameras -- except one SRT -- but that SRT camera worked fine with all of my other Vivitar 283 flashes. I never figured that problem out.

What you you do in my situation?
