I had a problem loading a roll of Ilford Delta 100 on my Konica Pearl II. For some reason I could not get it to fit. I then tried a roll of Porta 400 and it fit without any issues. I did notice that the holes on the spools are different. The Ilford looks like an X while the Kodak is a line with a larger circle in the middle. Has anyone had any luck loading Ilford film on a Konica Pearl? What am I doing wrong?

BTW, I just bought this camera so this is my first roll.

thanks,

Luis

Sometimes the orientation of the tab on the wind knob makes a difference in getting clearance. Usually having the tab lined up and down- one end pointing to the center of the opening where the spool will fit- is the easiest.

Interesting. I had no problem loading the empty take up spool on either side. It seems odd the the wind knob will make a difference but I will try it the next time I load a roll.

thanks
