Talk about leaving it until the last minute. Local shops (Ottawa, Canada) do not stock 120 colour like they used to. I am leaving for Montreal and then NYC in a few hours. I won't have time to shop until I get to NYC and I need to get some 120 film, mainly colour. I have only one full day to shoot (Friday) and I have enough to get started, but I don't want to spend too much time charging around looking for film.
I am staying at the New Yorker, 34th and 8th. So why not B&H, you ask? It is a very late Passover this year and both B&H and Adorama are closed. Where is the nearest pro shop to 34th and 8th which will be open on Friday?
I hope someone reads this within the next few hours!
Calumet does stock film. Let me be clear about that. The last time I was in the NY store, the pickings were mighty slim and the prices not. That may have changes, and to their credit, they might be able to have what you want shipped to the store from another location. If you pick up at the store, there should be no shipping charges. At least that's what they did for me when I ordered some chemistry that was not available in house.
You can no longer count on Calumet to have a decent stock of any analogue products. As GraemeMitchell observed, the most basic stocks are not guaranteed there anymore. They will probably have something that will allow me to shoot, but it's always a giant compromise. Go in for Tri-X 120, leave with TMX. Go in for D76, leave with HC110. If it's Saturday and B&H is closed, I'll reluctantly go to Calumet, but it's always a frustrating experience.

Another possibility in the same neighborhood, if you don't find what you want at Calumet is Duggal on 29 W. 23rd St. They usually have a small selection of film in formats from 35mm to 4x5" behind the counter. They'll also turn around E-6 in four hours and are open every day, if you want to process before coming home. www.duggal.com
Don,
Calumet in NY can usually get anything from their warehouse next day. why don't you give them a call, tell them what you need. that way they can have it waiting for you on Friday for pickup.
Take care,
Tom
P.S. If you need any help let me know; I work two blocks from the store.
