Pro-1000 - How much desk space needed?

Hi all,

I'm debating a Pro-300 vs Pro-1000. I'd prefer to get the 1000 for a few reasons but the size does concern me. The table I would like to use for the printer is only 23.5" wide. My question is how much "overhang" can I reasonably expect to get without any issues? Is 5" overhand (split evenly or not) something you'd be concerned about?
