I picked up this recently and it has the common copal shutter sticking problem.
The shutter will fire if I press the shutter release button repeatedly about eight times.
The Lausar lens is apparently used on a few TLR's.
I'll try isopropyl alcohol in the shutter slots and the wife's hairdryer to see if it frees the shutter.
However I'd really like to disassemble and clean properly. I know on Yashicamats etc you remove the front leatherette hopefully in one piece to access the screws.
Problem I see removing the leatherette in one piece is the shutter levers are in the way. No doubt it will tear anyway.
Anybody got any experience of working on this model or a Halma?
You can get to the shutter through the front. The beauty ring(with aperture/lens) unscrews and allows the SS/f stop ring to come off.
The will be a plate with grooves(MARK IT @ 12:00 TO REFERENCE TOP) in it that usually lifts out & gives access to the ST and slow speed gear trains. If you insist on cleaning the individual blades by removing them(PITA), then you need to get the shutter housing off the front plate.
