After the print comes out of the fixer and gets washed, is there anything you should do to it if it's going to get framed on the wall, in order to make it last a long time? Should prints be placed under glass?

If you mean a standard silver FB print, a soak in selenium solution and a good wash will enhance longevity. A proper mount and mat behind glass is the best encapsulation for a print that will be displayed. The photograph should not touch the glass,
