As a conceptual exercise, I decided to try printing on direct positive paper using lcd positive image. It turned out to be something like the contrast curve olympics, that and to figure out a flash sequence. There are some moire patterns from the camera in the rabbit frost image that you can't see in the print. The extremely flat curve has pushed the 8-bit panel to it's limits, the highlights lack smoothless. This can be overcome however by projecting a series of slightly different images to generate intermediate values. If it is a sequence of 4 images should give a 10 bit/ 1,024 levels of grayscale. This will require using the computer to control the exposure length so I will have to look into USB relays to control the exposure lamp.
