printing digital negatives & Photoshop CS6

I'm sure I'm just not finding this in a search here.

running Mac OSX 10.8.3 & latest Photoshop CS6

What I *was* doing to print 'unmanaged', was to be working with the file as AdobeRGB.. then when printing, select Photoshop manages color, then Adobe1998 as the profile.

besides using the Adobe print utility (i want to work *inside* photoshop...) .. any ideas?

Try editing in Gray Gamma 2.2 instead of Adobe RGB. Once you've finished, flatten and convert the file to sRGB. Let Photoshop manage colour as usual but print using the Wide Gamut profile.

I also found another app that was just released

QTR-Print-Tool Overview

allows for non-mananged workflow.

Jim,

I downloaded that app and tried running it but it did keep crashing on me. I'll try it again, but the workflow I outlined works well for me using QTR.

Just tried this version of the QTR Print Tool and it's working perfectly.
