This is a scanner problem, but not what you think. I scanned a color test print (Fuji Crystal Archive matte paper) a few days ago, and apparently the emulsion was not completely dry. It sat for a couple days and was stuck to the glass pretty good. I had to tear it in two places, and now I have two areas of paper/emulsion stuck to the glass. It's not coming off with the usual treatments -- water or alcohol or glass cleaner with light rubbing (fingertip or finger nail). I don't want to take a razor blade to the glass except as a last resort. Is there something I can try to soften and loosen the paper? Thanks.

Put a wet paper towel on the emulsion to soften it up. Check it every few minutes.

Very HOT wet dish towel laid on it, but not so wet as to allow water to run where it shouldn't be.

Thank you both. I had to use near boiling water from an electric kettle -- a few drops at a time onto a paper towel sitting over the problem area.

The advice you get here is worth what you pay for it.
